Instructions to Set Up Excel

Microsoft:	Right click "Start", go to "E", select "Excel", as follows:
Apple:	Use "Finder" to locate the Excel program.

Select the "Data" folder. In the following image the area next to the black arrow is blank. If your Excel Data folder looks like this, "Data Analysis" is missing and you will have to add it to make all the statistics functions available.

The following instructions describe how to add "Data Analysis":

1. In Excel, select the File folder:   

   . . . and then select "Options" by the right arrow at the bottom:

   
   
2. Select "Add-Ins":
   
   
   
   
   
3. Under "Add-Ins":
   • Select "Analysis ToolPak"
   • Beside "Manage:" at the bottom, select "Excel Add-ins"
   • Click "Go..."
   
   
   
   
   
4. Check "Analysis ToolPak" and click "OK":    
   
   
   
5. In the "Data" folder, "Data Analysis" should appear next to the black arrow below:
   
   
   
   
   
6. Setup is complete.
